The Education Department at Plymouth State offers professional preparation programs in Early Childhood Studies (birth to age 8) and Childhood Studies (age 5 to 13). Students in the Education Department receive broad exposure to the knowledge and skills of the profession combined with practical experiences that emphasize child-centered approaches to education. Beginning in the very first education class at PSU, you will have the opportunity to work with children and families in local schools and community programs, including the Child Development and Family Center, a nationally-accredited child care center on campus.
