Robert is a professional consultant who coaches people and organizations to improve communications, management, and planning. In education he collaborates on coaching, literacy, visual arts, video, and technology. A current project in Ethiopia embodies his passion and systems approach with change and collaboration in education. In all projects in brings experience, organization, and energy.

Kimberly Williams, PhD. Senior Researcher
Kimberly Williams, PhD. has served on the faculty of the following institutions: Syracuse University, Dartmouth College, the State University of New York colleges at Cortland and Morrisville, Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Plymouth State University. She has taught courses about cognitive neuroscience and education; education policy, history, and philosophy; assessment; educational equity; and teaching methods. She has authored numerous books and articles including a recent journal article on assessment. She has worked over the past few years with the Thinking Foundation.

The Founding Members met for a retreat during May, 2006 in Lyme, NH to refine the mission and focus of Thinking Foundation.

Robert Burden, Exeter University, England
The late Robert Burden was Emeritus Professor of Educational Psychology/Ed Studies at Exeter University. His research interests included: Adolescence; Children's perceptions of their involvement in the process of education; Assessing classroom environments; Cognitive development; Empowerment education; Children's rights; Dyslexia; Applying educational psychology within schools; Motivation.

Richard Cummins, Kestrel Consulting, England
Richard Cummins is co-founder of Kestrel Consulting in Great Britain which has developed a whole-school approach to the teaching of thinking. Kestrel has trained over 30,000 teachers and works with Local Authorities and schools across the country.

Sarah Curtis, Educational Consultant, Lebanon, NH
Sarah Curtis is one of a select group of nationally certified Trainer of Trainers for both Thinking Maps and Write From the Beginning. Sarah is also the author/editor of the new Mapping the Standards CD, a database of Thinking Maps activities correlated to the national and state standards and activated by Thinking Maps Software.

Yvette Jackson, Ed.D., National Urban Alliance, NY
Yvette Jackson, Executive Director of National Urban Alliance, is internationally recognized for her work in assessing the learning potential of disenfranchised urban students. Her research is in literacy, gifted education and the cognitive mediation theory of Dr. Reuven Feuerstein. She has applied her research to develop an integrated process to motivate and elicit potential in underachievers.

Lloyd Jeager is Superintendent of Schools in the Millbrook Central School District.

Estee Lopez, New Rochelle School District, NY
Estee Lopez is the Director, ELL & Instructional Services in New Rochelle schools.
